CBCT 3D Imaging

Cone-beam computed tomography, often called CBCT, gives the endodontic team a three-dimensional view of teeth and surrounding bone when a standard dental X-ray does not provide enough information.

CBCT imaging may be recommended to evaluate complex root anatomy, persistent infection, dental trauma, resorption, possible fractures, or the relationship between a tooth and surrounding structures. It is not needed for every patient, but it can be valuable when the diagnosis or treatment plan depends on details that are difficult to see in two dimensions.

More complete diagnosis

A 3D scan can reveal anatomy or disease patterns that may be hidden on traditional radiographs.

Focused planning

The scan helps the doctor plan treatment paths, surgical access, and risk management before care begins.

Used when appropriate

CBCT is recommended selectively, based on the clinical question and the expected benefit to the patient.
